4/27/2006 - As of April of 2006, Seay Management Consultants proudly celebrates 40 years of service to management. Seay Management was founded in 1966 by the late Kenneth R. Morefield, Jr. Prior to his consulting practice, Ken was a long time official of the Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division, ultimately rising to the level of Assistant Area Director. As a management consultant, he was so highly regarded by those in and out of government that early in the Reagan administration, he was on the short list to be appointed as Wage and Hour Administrator. Ken was a remarkable man whom we remember with warmth and affection and whose legacy we continually strive to uphold.

In the late 1970’s, Ken and Sandy Seay became friends through several mutual clients and soon talks began with the result that Sandy acquired the firm in 1980. Yes, the proverbial cocktail napkin was in play . . . .

Today, from its headquarters in Orlando, Florida, Seay Management Consultants serves more than 400 clients throughout the United States. Our client base includes banks and financial institutions, engineering firms, construction companies, retail establishments, service companies, private clubs, transportation and delivery companies, agricultural companies, municipalities, insurance agencies, hospitals and medical offices, automotive dealerships and a host of professional trade associations. In the ancient world, the number 40 often had special significance. In many cases, it was symbolic and carried the connotation, “This is a really long time and a lot of things happened here!” Indeed. 40 years is a long time and we are very proud of this landmark. With the greatest sincerity, we want to express our deep appreciation to all of our clients for giving us the honor and privilege of serving you these 40 years. While we take deep pride in providing our service at the highest degrees of excellence, we know that none of this would be possible without you and, for this, we are sincerely grateful. Now, with great anticipation and excitement, we look forward to the next 40 years!
